A lovely way to end the London marathon
A huge thank you and well done from everyone at Breast Cancer Care to all of our London Marathon runners yesterday. Over 100 of our supporters took to the streets of the capital for the gruelling 26.2 mile course and we can't thank them enough for their efforts.
Breast Cancer Care would also like to offer our congratulations to team member Luke Davies and his fiance Yvette, who ended the race in a very special way!
Luke, who had just finished the marathon in 2 hours 58 minutes, was being interviewed live on the BBC by Colin Jackson, when he took everyone by surprise - especially his girlfriend Yvette - and popped the question, asking Yvette to marry him!
She said yes, with Luke afterwards revealing: "it's what made me go so fast".
