Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Ride
23 February - 4 March 2008
This new cycle challenge takes you through two of South East Asia’s most fascinating countries.
Starting in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) and finishing at Angkor Wat in Cambodia, you will experience breathtaking scenery, timeless traditions, ancient temples and the warmth of the local people.
The challenge
Setting off from Ho Chi Minh City, you will pass through rural areas, sleepy villages of simple wooden houses and emerald green paddy fields where you can see the locals tendering their land.
After crossing the Cambodian border, our journey continues past the mighty Mekong River and quiet roads beside the jungle. We then reach our finishing point, Kompong Thom, before we make our way on to the magnificent Angkor Wat, which - along with its surrounding temples - is justifiably regarded as one of the great wonders of the world.
Still as yet unravaged by mass tourism, the temples retain an incredible sense of power and mystery, simply the perfect place to end your challenge.
