Ben Nevis Challenge
25 and 26 October 2008
Do you want to take on Britain’s highest mountain and raise money for Breast Cancer Care?
Join us for the best walking challenge in the UK in October 2008.
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Britain, majestically rising 1,344 metres (4,406 feet) amidst the hills and Monroes of the Scottish Highlands.
In 2007, 150 Breast Cancer Care supporters like you walked up and down the mountain and had a fantastic time…all the time raising valuable funds for those in need.
The challenge takes one day to complete. We start early in the morning and we should finish by late afternoon.
If you're looking for a UK based adventure, come along with us to Ben Nevis, the famous landmark of Western Scotland. You may be surprised to know that there is no actual climbing involved!
Our route up and down Ben Nevis totals a little over nine miles, but because of the sometimes rocky and uneven terrain you are on the mountain for the majority of the day. This is truly a beautiful walk, with stunning views on a clear day at every turn.
Please note you will arrive in Fort William the day before the walk and depart Fort William the day after. Accommodation, transfers to and from Glasgow and meals are included.
The event suits people of average fitness and stamina, but you must train and prepare for it in order to enjoy the challenge as much as you would like to. When you sign up you will be provided with a training guide and Breast Cancer Care will be on hand to support you all the way.
