Blenheim Palace & Cotswolds Ribbon Walk - Saturday, 31 May 2008
Many congratulations from Breast Cancer Care, woman&home and Boots to all our wonderful Blenheim Palace & Cotswolds Ribbon Walkers! It was a wonderful day and we hope that you all enjoyed yourselves. We will be emailing you in a few weeks with an online questionnaire and look forward to your feedback. In the meantime please email ribbonwalk@breastcancercare.org.uk if you want to let us know about your experiences on the day.
To view photo from the day, visit woman&home.com.
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who gave up so much of their time to help us at the event. We really couldn’t make the Ribbon Walk such a success without your help. If you would be interested in volunteering at next year’s Ribbon Walk please email rwassistant@breastcancercare.org.uk. Thank you also to all the very generous companies who donated their products to us on the day; they were hugely appreciated by all involved.
Don’t forget that your £250 fundraising money needs to be with us by Friday 15 August.
Well done, we hope you are immensely proud of your fantastic achievement and have your medal somewhere for all to see!
About the walk
The Blenheim Palace & Cotswolds Ribbon Walk showcases an area rich in heritage and breathtaking scenery. The walk takes participants through ancient woodland, along rivers and through picturesque villages. The event starts and finishes in the magnificent estate of England’s largest stately home, Blenheim Palace, a World Heritage Site. We also visit Cornbury Park, the home of Lord and Lady Rotherwick, and follow the Oxfordshire Way along the course of a Roman road. The pathways have been chosen for their accessibility so people can walk side by side and enjoy this great social occasion.
The entry fee is £30. In addition, participants must raise a minimum of £250 per person in sponsorship for Breast Cancer Care. If you are a part of a group you still need to ensure that each person raises a minimum of £250. For example a group of 4 people would need to raise a total of at least £1,000.
