Haddon Hall and Peak District Ribbon Walk - Saturday, 21 June 2008
Congratulations
Many congratulations from Breast Cancer Care, woman&home and Boots to all our wonderful Haddon Hall & Peak District Ribbon Walkers! It was a wonderful day and we hope that you all enjoyed yourselves. We will be emailing you in a few weeks with an online questionnaire and look forward to your feedback. In the meantime please email ribbonwalk@breastcancercare.org.uk if you want to let us know about your experiences on the day.
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who gave up so much of their time to help us at the event. We really couldn’t make the Ribbon Walk such a success without your help. If you would be interested in volunteering at next year’s Ribbon Walk please email rwassistant@breastcancercare.org.uk. Thank you also to all the very generous companies who donated their products to us on the day; they were hugely appreciated by all involved.
Don’t forget that your £250 fundraising money needs to be with us by Friday 15 August.
Well done, we hope you are immensely proud of your fantastic achievement and have your medal somewhere for all to see!
About the walk
The Haddon Hall & Peak District Ribbon Walk is in the heart of Britain’s oldest and most popular National Park. The route takes in the farmland, dales and moors of the River Wye and River Derwent World Heritage Site. Starting and finishing at beautiful medieval Haddon Hall, the route passes through the 1,000 acre parkland of Chatsworth House, one of Britain’s best loved historic estates. The Chatsworth grounds are renowned for their beautiful walks and spectacular fountains. The landscape of the area means there will be a few more hills than the Cotswolds event, but the views will more than make up for the effort.
The entry fee is £30. In addition, participants must raise a minimum of £250 per person in sponsorship for Breast Cancer Care. If you are a part of a group you still need to ensure that each person raises a minimum of £250. For example a group of 4 people would need to raise a total of at least £1,000.
