Volunteers

We need you!

If you are interested in volunteering at a 2009 Ribbon Walk or would like to help promote the events in any way please contact rwassistant@breastcancercare.org.uk for further information.

The Ribbon Walk is not just designed to be a personal challenge but also to be a great day out where people come together to support a great cause and each other.

An event like this cannot work without the help and support from volunteers, together all the volunteers and staff will really define the atmosphere of the event with our primary role being to celebrate the walkers... this means loads of smiling, cheering and encouragement!

This really is a great opportunity to work as part of our team and to be an integral part of the process that will lead to a successful event we can all be proud of. All volunteers will receive a volunteer information pack to prepare them, as well as a free Breast Cancer Care crew t-shirt and food on the day.

"I really was made to feel so special with the support and encouragement of everyone at the start/finish point and out across the course.  You were all brilliant, and worked so hard to make it easy on the walkers"

"All those involved did a great job, from the girls on registration to the ones handing out the medals at the end. Please pass on our thanks to all who helped on the day"

The Volunteer Information Pack includes the different types of jobs we will need people to do on the day of the Ribbon Walk.

Ribbon Walk Champions

Being a Ribbon Walk Champion is another great way to support Breast Cancer Care. We need you to display posters and leaflets in your work place, in your local shops, gyms, libraries, wherever you can and do tell all your interested contacts what you are doing. We provide Champions with a list of ideas of where to start and there is also a prize for the Champion who recruits the most walkers. Please contact us at rwassistant@breastcancercare.org.uk or call 0207 960 3492 to sign up now.

If you have any questions about volunteering please email rwassistant@breastcancercare.org.uk or call Lucy on 0207 960 3492.
