Trek South Africa
31 October – 9 November 2008
Walk from Cape to coast and back again on this unique trek in exotic South Africa. Starting in Cape Town, spend six days exploring national parks, nature reserves and dramatic sea views.
The trek
After arriving in Cape Town, we will travel out of the city to the coast, where we will begin our trek. We will walk through some of the most colourful, varied and delightful scenery South Africa has to offer.
From spotting wildlife in the De Hoop Nature Reserve, to walking in the Potberg Mountains, and trekking in the indigenous rainforest the first few days will be a feast for the senses.
As we continue our journey, we will stretch our legs as we take on the changing terrain and challenging descents and ascents of this trek. Our efforts will be rewarded with moments of relaxation swimming under waterfalls, opportunities to whale spot in the Indian Ocean, visiting a seal colony and unwinding in hot water springs.
On our final day, we take on iconic Table Mountain. The walk will be tough but the views from the top will take your breath away. Take time to take in this moment and think about what you have achieved on this memorable challenge in this beautiful country.
