JPMorgan Round the Island Race 2008
Congratulations and thank you to all that participated and raised money for Breast Cancer Care at the Round the Island Race on Saturday 28 June. It was a wonderful day, despite the wet weather, and Breast Cancer Care hope to raise £20,000 from the event.
28 June 2008
We are delighted to announce that Breast Cancer Care has been chosen as one of the official charities for this, the country’s largest and most famous yacht race. The event, which started in 1931, takes place at Cowes on the Isle of Wight and the 50 mile course is tackled by around 13,000 sailing enthusiasts every year. The race offers the weekend sailor the opportunity to race against World and Olympic champions and professional yachtsmen and women such as Ellen Macarthur.
