Great Scottish Run Half Marathon and 10k

The largest participatory road race event in Scotland, the Great Scottish Run attracts with over 20,000 runners. Starting in the heart of Glasgow at George Square, participants cross the famous Kingston Bridge, pass through some of Glasgow's most famous attractions before finishing at Glasgow Green, the city's oldest park on the banks of the Clyde.

Participants have the option to choose one of three courses:

  • Junior run (for 9 -17 year olds)  held on Saturday 4 September
  • 10k run   
  • Half marathon

The Great Scottish Run has something for everyone, whether you’re a half marathon veteran or setting out on your very first race, so why not join our team in 2010!

What we provide

In addition, in return for pledging to raise money for us we will support you by providing you with:

  • a t-shirt or running vest
  • a support pack full of fundraising and training tips
  • Breast Cancer Care cheering squad to cheer you round the course 
  • 20% off sportwear specialists Sweaty Betty products 
  • support and advice from a dedicated member of the sports team 
  • regular newsletters and emails to keep you updated 
  • fundraising materials to help you including balloons, posters and collection tins.

How to enter

Registration through Culture & Sport Glasgow is now open for 2010 entries. Please visit www.runglasgow.org to register online or call the race hotline on 0845 2700 166.

Once you have registered your place in the Half Marathon or 10k, please contact Rachel Deuchar on 0141 353 8330 or email rachel.deuchar@breastcancercare.org.uk to receive your fundraising pack.
