5K adidas Women's Challenge

Fancy a fun girl's day out whilst raising money for Breast Cancer Care? Then join over 20,000 women and enter this year’s adidas Women’s Challenge (formerly the Hydroactive Women’s Challenge).

This is the biggest women-only fun run in the UK and is organised by the same team that bring us the world famous Flora London Marathon. Whether you choose to run, jog or walk, you are guaranteed a great day. And don’t forget it is all about getting together with friends, taking your first steps to fitness and raising money for charity at the same time.

Last year, more than £2 million was raised for charities across the events. This year there are two locations to choose from. The London course provides a scenic route through Hyde Park, while the Birmingham and Liverpool races take you on a course through the recently redeveloped city centres. All events invite participants to join in mass warm-ups led by famous faces.

Fundraising

By joining our team and choosing to support Breast Cancer Care we do ask that you pledge to raise money for the charity. There is no minimum amount, we just ask that you raise as much as possible. In order to help you we will send you a pack full of tips and sponsorship forms and will be on hand to offer advice and answer any of your queries.

How we will support you

In return for pledging to raise money for us we will support you by providing you with:

• A lovely pink T-shirt to wear on race day
• A support pack full of fundraising and training advice
• A training plan and top tips from our sports ambassador Denise Lewis
• Support and advice from a dedicated member of the sports team
• Regular newsletters and emails to keep you updated
• Fundraising materials to help you including balloons, posters and collection tins
• A cheer around the course!

How to enter

If you would like to sign up for this great event please enter online from March 2008 at www.womenschallenge.co.uk or call the event helpline on 0207 902 0200. Entry costs £15, however, £5 of your entry fee goes directly to the charity of your choice. Please remember to select Breast Cancer Care!

If you already have a place

If you have been lucky enough to gain your own place we would love you to join the Breast Cancer Care team.  To join the teams please email running@breastcancercare.org.uk with:

• The location of your run i.e. London or Birmingham
• Your name
• Address
• Telephone number
• T-shirt size
