The Scottish Fashion Show proved once again that this is a ‘must attend’ in the Glasgow events calendar. The day was an amazing occasion of fashion, fundraising and courage as our models made their debut on the catwalk looking dazzling, following their diagnosis of breast cancer.

A roaring success
With over £145,000 raised, the seventh Scottish Fashion Show was a great success. We were delighted with the day which - as always - proves itself to be the highlight of our event calendar.
We would like to thank Swarovski for coming on board as our title sponsor. Swarovski has been a long-term supporter of Breast Cancer Care and The London Show and brought even more glamour and sparkle to our event. We also had the added benefit of having our hair and goody bag sponsor, Schwarzkopf, making the models look every bit the catwalk stars they were.
The afternoon guests were delighted with the very personal touch Libby McArthur (Gina from River City) gave the show. Kaye Adams, who previously hosted The Show in 2007, effortlessly took our guests through the evening show with her charm.
Our guests walked away with some amazing prizes in our fundraising activities and exciting auction lots. Highlights from our live auction included:
- Shirt and tennis racket used by Andy Murray at Wimbledon together with tickets for Queens
- Four balls at some of Scotland’s best courses: Gleneagles, Carrick, Dalmahoy, and Dundonald (including lessons with Guy Redford, Senior Pro)
- A guaranteed white Christmas – 12 tons of snow delivered to your house on Christmas Eve
- Festival Package – two VIP weekend camping tickets to T in the Park 2010
The evening’s entertainment was provided by Pop Idol winner, Michelle McManus. Michelle entertained the guests with her superb voice and got everyone on their feet dancing and singing.
We are indebted to the real stars of The Show, our 19 glamorous models, who took to the stage with an electric energy and smiles for all the guests. Their courage and enthusiasm moved the guests to a much deserved standing ovations. Everyone involved, especially the models had a fantastic day!
