Breast Cancer Care has already worked with a number of company partners on superb corporate events that showcase both the company and their association with Breast Cancer Care.
Bentley
The Bentley Buzz in April 2006 saw the launch of the new Bentley Continental GTC. This was a fantastic opportunity for Bentley - as a corporate partner of Breast Cancer Care - to display to their clients the work of Breast Cancer Care and, in turn, to host the launch of this exciting new model.
Bentley also encouraged the event organisers of the Boodle and Dunthorne Champions Challenge to hold the 2006 event’s Ladies Day in support of Breast Cancer Care. As one of the 'must attend' summer social gatherings, this was a gorgeous day out for guests joining the event and a wonderful extension of Bentley’s support of the charity.
Lloyds TSB
Lloyds TSB nominated Breast Cancer Care as their charity of the year in 2006. A year of hugely successful fundraising by the staff and their Charity Champions at Lloyds ensued, creating an end total of fundraising in excess of £1.8 million - all of which went to the charity.
As part of the Charity of the Year involvement, we were delighted to work with Lloyds on their Fundraising Ball, held in November at the Dorchester, Park Lane. This was a fantastic evening dedicated to celebrating the partnership and the enthusiasm of all the staff who had become so successfully involved in the year’s fundraising.
The Fundraising Ball was a real highlight of the year’s partnership and raised over £100,000 alone. This figure - alongside the hundreds of thousands raised by anything from a chocolate egg eating contest to rugby matches, casino nights and our own challenge events - ensures that Breast Cancer Care can continue to provide information and support to anyone affected by breast cancer in the UK.
