Walk the Ribbon
We need you to join us and walk the Ribbon – for your mum, your friend, yourself, for the thousands of people affected by breast cancer every year.
We need you to walk because breast cancer is now the most common cancer in the UK.
We want everyone to come together to celebrate and support the women and men in our lives who have been affected by breast cancer and who have moved and inspired us to want to do more. By taking part in the Ribbon Walk you will be helping Breast Cancer Care ensure that the 44,300 women and 300 men who are diagnosed in the UK each year, as well as their family and friends, receive the support and information they need, when they need it most.
PLEASE NOTE - Registration for all Ribbon Walks will close two weeks prior to each event. So be sure to register soon!
What is the Ribbon Walk?
The Ribbon Walk is a day of fun, exhilaration and camaraderie, bringing together hundreds of women and men to take part in incredible walks through beautiful countryside.
Starting at one of the country’s most magnificent stately homes - Blenheim Palace, Petworth House or Haddon Hall - you can choose to follow a 10 or 20 mile circular Ribbon route. Whatever route you decide we promise you an unforgettable Ribbon Walk day with a mixture of fantastic trails, beautiful scenery and enthusiastic support from the Breast Cancer Care and woman&home teams.
Can I do it?
It doesn’t matter whether you are an experienced walker or have never done anything like this before. The walk is designed to be challenging but achievable. There is plenty of time to train and you will be supported every step of the way.

Saturday 14 June 2008: *Brand new for 2008* Petworth House & South Downs Ribbon Walk
Saturday, 21 June 2008: Haddon Hall & Peak District Ribbon Walk
How much do I have to raise?
The entry fee is £30. In addition, participants must raise a minimum of £250 per person in sponsorship for Breast Cancer Care.
If you are a part of a group you still need to ensure that each person raises a minimum of £250. For example a group of four people would need to raise a total of at least £1,000.
For this you will receive:
- a support pack with event details, training guides and fundraising information
- a Ribbon Walk T-shirt to wear on the day
- refreshments and food at the finish
- toilet facilities en route
- a Ribbon Walk medal and treats when you finish
- a certificate showing your fundraising total
- a fantastic day out!
